About me
Although I took art classes from elementary through college, I credit my parents for being my most influential teachers of art techniques and art appreciation. For it was they that introduced me, encouraged me and provided me opportunity and media to explore. Both my parents were also very creative people in their own right and I would watch them in their creative processes. My Mom started taking me to galleries and museums starting at the tender age of seven. My Father supplied our home with media. Paints, pencils, charcoal, pastels, canvas, boards, paper were all at my finger tips. I would load an old backpack with a sketch pad and pencils to wander through the fields and woods around our property. Nature was my closest childhood friend and I was enthralled. You will find that love of nature still holds a strong influence in my work today.
